Let us pray: Father, You gave to the young Pier Giorgio Frassati the joy of meeting Christ and of living his faith in service of the poor and the sick. Through his intercession, may we, too, walk the path of the Beatitudes and follow the example of his generosity, spreading the spirit of the Gospel in society. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please see the below the info and details of the following upcoming Wellbeing, Family and Faith Initiatives:

 

  • R U OK Day: Today: 11 September, R U OK? Dayis a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone to ask, “Are you OK?” and to remember every day of the year to support people who may be struggling with life’s ups and downs

     

  • St Carlo Acutis’ Colouring-in Competition: 5-12 September; a friendly reminder that the colouring in sheets are to be returned to the classroom. Playgroup Families can return their toddlers/preschooler colouring-in sheets to the St Martha’s school office tomorrow (12 September) or this coming Monday (15 September) at the latest, thank you. The winners of each category:
    • Playgroup
    • Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 (K-2)
    • Stage 2 (3-4)
    • Stage 3 (5-6)

  • 7pm Mass at St Maroun’s Chapel (105 The Boulevarde, Strathfield) followed by light refreshments to celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows’ Feast Day. Two priests will be available to hear Confessions. Mass will be offered for all the women who are suffering and experincing difficulties
  • AnointedWomen Conference (with Sr Miriam James Heidland from the US): Saturday 27 September. The Women Conference’s tickets’ sale has been extended and will now close tonight (Thursday, 11 September) at midnight. Here is the link to buy your tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1399095  The Women Conference will be a wonderful opportunity for all of us women to renew, reconnect and remember who we are in Christ.

  • St Carlo Acutis Mufti Day: Week 1, Term 4: Friday 17 October. All children are invited to wear denim to school to celebrate the new millennial Saint: St Carlo Acutis.
  • Term 4 K-6 Family Mass: Sunday 7 December 2025 at 10am followed by morning tea

First Holy Communion Masses 

Let’s keep in our prayers all the children who are making their First Holy Communion at St Martha’s Catholic Church this Sunday (14 September) @12pm and the following Sunday (21 September).
