Jubilee Faith, Fun and Celebrations 2025

Two Jubilee Faith, Fun and Celebration LIVE events will be presented at our school led by John Burland (educator and composer) and Cheryl Fernandez (educator) from Sydney Catholic Schools on Wednesday 17th September.

Pope Francis had proclaimed 2025 a Holy Year, inviting us to renew our faith as “Pilgrims of Hope.”

John and Cheryl will lead our students on an inspiring journey of discovery through song, movement, and storytelling, helping them embrace what it means to be “Pilgrims of Hope” in this Jubilee Year.

These engaging celebrations will enrich their understanding of Religious Education, Catholic Tradition, prayer, and Scripture.

K-2 will have their celebration at 9.15am-10.15am

3-6 will have their celebration at 11.30am-12.30pm

First Holy Communion

Over the next two Sundays students from Year 3 will be making their First Holy Communion. A First Holy Communion is the first time a person receives the Eucharist (the Body and Blood of Christ) in the Catholic Church. We congratulate these children on making this sacrament and we keep them in our prayers. 

Heavenly Father, 

We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, and for this sacred day when our students from St Martha’s will receive Him in Holy Communion for the first time. Fill their hearts with joy, peace, and an unwavering love for the Eucharist. Guide them to always feel Jesus' presence and follow His teachings, strengthening their faith as they grow in Your grace and love.

CWF Fundraising Mufti Day

On Monday 22nd September students are asked to wear mufti for a $2 coin. The Charitable Works Fund (CWF) is responsible for collecting funds for the purpose of supporting the charitable and pastoral works of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. All schools in the Sydney Diocese will be conducting a mufti day this term to raise funds for CWF. Please check out their website to see where the funds will be used. This is our only fundraising for CWF so give generously. On behalf of CWF thank you for supporting this organisation.
