Reading Buddies
In partnership with the Junior School Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Mr Nunura, we have expanded the Reading Buddies Program to include Kindergarten to Year 2 students. As part of this initiative, Year 7 and 8 students volunteer their Monday lunchtime to read with their designated junior buddy. The program attracted 45 senior student volunteers and has been highly successful. Junior School teachers and students have greatly appreciated the additional support, and the positive impact has been evident across the school community. It was particularly heartwarming to see students gathered in the junior playground, reading together with such positive engagement.
