Orientation Day

Year 6 students from Esk, Harlin, Linville and Toogoolawah State Schools attended their Orientation Program at the high school yesterday. The one-day introduction to high school covered a number of activities including a rotation where the primary students talk with high school students about sports carnivals – including The Treefrogs, equestrian and representative sport, the musical, music and concert band, camps, Duke of Edinburgh, The Rite Journey, Extension Writing Program and Book Week, Ag and the Show Team. The students met staff members, and also went on a ‘treasure hunt’ to find key locations as they started to become familiar with the lay-out of the high school.

Attendance Rewards Breakfast

Bacon & Egg burgers are being served next Thursday morning, 11th September, for students with attendance at 95 percent and above for this Term. The list of invited students will be published in Daymap on Tuesday, and a list posted outside the B Block staff room.

Thank you to parents/caregivers for supporting students to attend the Tangalooma Camp in December. The next camp payment is $200 due by Friday 12th September.

Students may use their ‘stamp stash’ for a voucher towards camp payments. To do this they must email the stamp stash store (details posted outside Mr Nielsen’s office), or just pop in to see Mr Nielsen at his office in B block. One thousand points equals a $10 voucher.

There will be one final fundraising event for the camp – Billy G’s Cookie Dough – running from the beginning of Term 4. Further information coming soon.
