WELLBEING @ WYNDHAM

Western Sydney University NEC Event
On 16 June, Year 11 EALD students participated in the Western Sydney University NEC program, hosted at our school.
The NEC program encourages EALD students to aspire to tertiary education by demonstrating that university is both an achievable and meaningful post school pathway. Through interactive presentations and individual consultations, students gained valuable insights into university life, explored future study options, and developed a better understanding of the pathways available to them.
The session was highly engaging, with students actively participating in discussions and asking thoughtful questions during their one-on-one consultations. The consultants praised our students for their enthusiasm, motivation, and strong potential for success in higher education.
Refugee Week
As part of Refugee Week 2026, with the theme 'A Million Stories', students participated in 'My Story, My Strengths' activities. This year's theme, 'A Million Stories', celebrates the one million refugees welcomed to Australia since 1947.
Refugees have helped shape Australia through their resilience, cultures and contributions. Let's celebrate their stories, listen with curiosity, and make a more inclusive community.
Study Skills
If you need help with organisation and study skills, Wyndham College is offering new "drop in" study skills tutoring sessions at recess with Sara in D7. All students are welcome to attend.
