Family Literacy Challenge!
Learning doesn't stop when the school day ends! This week, choose one (or more!) of our Family Literacy Challenges and enjoy reading, talking and writing together.
Did you know? Everyday conversations are one of the most powerful ways to build your child's literacy skills. When children chat with trusted adults, they hear new vocabulary, learn how language works, develop their thinking, and strengthen the comprehension skills they need for reading and writing. Asking questions, listening carefully and encouraging your child to explain their ideas helps build confident communicators and successful readers.
Just 10–20 minutes a day of reading, talking or telling stories together can make a lasting difference.
Every conversation, every story and every book helps your child grow in confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. We can't wait to hear about the challenges your family completes!
