Lent 12 days!!!

Lent is a special season in the Christian calendar that lasts for 40 days and leads up to Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and is a time for reflection, kindness, and personal growth. During Lent, many choose to give something up or try to do something positive, such as helping others, being more patient, or spending time in prayer. Lent reminds us of the importance of caring for one another and making thoughtful choices each day.

Shrove Tuesday has been celebrated for hundreds of years and gets its name from the old word “shrive,” meaning to confess and prepare for Lent. It became known as Pancake Day because people used up rich ingredients like eggs, milk, and sugar before the Lenten season began. While the canteen won’t be serving pancakes this year, students are encouraged to bring a pancake in their lunchbox and still enjoy this tasty tradition together!
