Hoop Time Basketball Competitions
Last Week of Term
In 2026, our school will participate in the Basketball Victoria Junior Hoop Time competition coming up in the last week of this term.
These exciting interschool events provide students with the opportunity to celebrate and apply the basketball skills they have been developing during P.E. lessons.
Year 5 and 6 Senior Hoop Time Basketball competition : Monday 22nd June at Waverley Basketball Stadium (9:00am - 2:45pm)
Our 14 St Simon teams are outlined in the document below. We are in need of more parent support to assist as coaches and scorers on the day. No experience is necessary, and we would greatly appreciate any support for our many St Simon teams.
UPDATE: Year 4 Junior Hoop Time Basketball competition : Monday 17th August 2026 at Dandenong Basketball Stadium (9:00am - 2:45pm) Please note new venue due to change of date
All students in Year 4 will compete in a team at the Junior Hoop Time. Teams for the competition are outlined in the document below
Hoop Time Competition Format
Students will be placed into teams that best suit their skill level across the three competition divisions: All Stars, Future Stars and Rookies. Teams will compete in a round robin format against other schools throughout the day.
Each team will include an appropriate number of students to ensure everyone has plenty of opportunity to participate and enjoy time on the court while representing St Simon.
