Principal's Report
Thoughts from our Principal - Mrs Casey Chard
As we approach the final week of Term 2, I continue to be proud of the calm, focused learning environments that are evident throughout St Joseph's. Our students are engaged, challenged and supported by our skilled, helpful adults, who work tirelessly through the entire learning cycle. This involves planning, teaching, assessing, providing feedback and identifying each student's next steps. This work culminates in our Semester 1 reports, which will be available via Compass early next week.
Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Reports are just one part of this process and throughout the year we provide many opportunities for parents to discuss learning with teachers through learning conversations, Learning Fairs and personalised planning meetings. We encourage families to continue engaging in these opportunities as we work together to support every child's growth.

Finally, thank you to our wonderful P&F for generously providing every student with a new school hat, which will be distributed (with names on them) next week. Students will be able to wear their new hats immediately. Old hats can be used as spares during this transition period. Additional new hats can be purchased from the office for $17.

As another successful semester draws to a close, I thank our students, families and staff for their continued support and commitment to St Joseph's. I wish everyone a safe and restful holiday break and look forward to sharing our outstanding NAPLAN results with you next term once they are publicly released. Please be reminded that Monday, 20 July is a Staff Development Day (Pupil Free Day). Students return on Tuesday, 21 July.
May God bless you and your family.
