Library News

Welcome back to our library for Term 2. It continues to be a busy space with games and activities operating across each lunchtime and of course is still been utilised in a quiet, productive, way before school for reading.

We have been lucky to secure some new furniture for the library in the way of couches and tables with chairs. These have been a big hit already with parents and students so please come in and have a look at our new set up.

Remember children are allowed to borrow and return books when the library is open before school.

Reinforced Reading Training

We had a fantastic response to our Reinforced Reading parent training sessions last term. We will continue to run these regularly throughout the rest of this year. These are open to any parents, regardless of the year level your child is in at school. It only takes half an hour with myself to become familiar with this content so if you are interested, please let me know.  I will work with you to find a time that best suits you. Some parents do this training to simply help their child/ren at home, other parents are finding some time to come in and hear other children read before school.

Toddlers

We welcome children of all ages into our library space before school.

You are welcome to bring toddlers, and they can sit with you and listen to their older sibling/s read. Alternatively, we can supply your child with a small bucket of toys to play with whilst you read with your child.

Do not let young children stop you coming to utilise our beautiful library!

I hope to see as many of you as possible in the next few weeks before school in our library.

Kind regards,

Mrs Heather Woodman.
