School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports - SWPBS

SWPBS at Wedderburn College and at home.

Teaching behaviours that we expect to see works best when there is consistency between home and school. SWPBS is an approach to help all students to learn to manage behavior. A strong partnership between school and home is highly appreciated because when families are involved, outcomes for students are improved.

Ways you can Support School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) at home by:

• Verbally provide specific positive feedback eg I like how you took responsibility by packing your bag
• Being a role model of positive behaviours
• Reinforce positive choices
• Responding consistently and support your child with the school when unexpected behaviours occur.
