Classroom Reports

Wow – what a fantastic start to the year! It’s hard to believe that our first term has already finished. The children have settled beautifully into the routines and structure of school life.
During literacy, we have thoroughly enjoyed exploring a series of books by Colin McNaughton. The children especially loved the character Preston the Pig and the mischievous wolf. We became very clever at making predictions about what might happen next by noticing patterns across the stories—particularly what might happen to the wolf!
Over the holidays, we hope everyone enjoys a well-earned rest. If you have a moment, you might like to continue supporting your child’s learning in fun and simple ways, such as:
playing “I Spy” using beginning sounds and name
encouraging your child to spot letters and words in the everyday environment.
These small activities make a big difference and keep learning fun and engaging.
Wishing all our families a safe and happy Easter. We hope the Easter break brings lots of joy, rest, and maybe even a special visit from the Easter Bunny!
We look forward to seeing everyone next term.

What a Big Term It’s Been!
What a big term it has been, culminating in our School Fete this Thursday! Make sure you get along to Steel Stadium to challenge the Year 11's in our Super Mario Kart Challenge. It’s a gold coin donation, and best of all — everyone wins a prize!
It’s been a huge term for our Year 11 students, with camp, excursions, work placements, and plenty of assessments. Well done to everyone on a fantastic effort — the way you’ve approached the term has been really pleasing to see. Let’s keep building that momentum as we move through the year.
As we head into the break, we wish all students and their families a happy and safe Easter. Enjoy the time to rest, recharge, and come back ready for a strong start to Term 2.
Mr G’s Study Tip — Don’t Switch Off Completely
Holidays are important for rest, but don’t completely switch off from your learning.
- Spend 10–15 minutes a few times over the break reviewing notes
- Tidy up folders and organise your materials
- Get ahead on any upcoming work
A little effort now makes Term 2 feel much more manageable.
“Rest, reset… then come back ready to go again.”
