Living Our School-Wide Expectations

As we look back over the year at Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College, it is clear that our school-wide expectations - Respect, Responsibility, Courage, and Wisdom - have guided the way our community has learned, grown, and worked together, strengthening our commitment to a culture of Excellence and Growth.

Throughout the year, we have seen students bring these expectations to life in many meaningful ways.

  • Respect has been shown through kindness, inclusion, and the way students care for one another across all year levels.
  • Responsibility has been evident in students taking ownership of their learning, arriving prepared, and contributing positively to classroom routines.
  • Courage has stood out in moments when students stepped into new challenges—whether on retreat/camps, in assessments, on the sporting field or in leadership roles.
  • Wisdom has been demonstrated in thoughtful decision-making, problem-solving and supporting the wellbeing of others.

These everyday actions, both big and small, reflect the culture we are building as a College - one where students strive to be their best, treat others with dignity, and take pride in contributing to a positive community.

As we move into the final month of school, these expectations remain just as important. This is a time for students to finish the year well: maintaining respectful relationships, staying focused on learning, meeting responsibilities, and showing the courage and wisdom to make positive choices right to the end.

We look forward to seeing these expectations continue to shine as we conclude the year and celebrate our students' achievements.
