We are now accepting enrolment enquiries for Prep 2027, and we warmly invite prospective families to book a school tour and experience Box Hill North Primary School in action.
At BHNPS, we are proud to provide a calm, supportive and high-expectations learning environment where every student is known, challenged and supported. Our dedicated staff work closely with students and families to ensure strong academic growth, positive wellbeing outcomes and a genuine sense of belonging.
Tours provide families with the opportunity to:
Visit classrooms and learning spaces
See teaching and learning in action
Meet school leaders and staff
Learn more about our approach to literacy, numeracy and wellbeing
Ask questions about school life at BHNPS
To book a tour, please contact the school office on 9890 5023.
We look forward to welcoming new families to our school community.

We invite families and community members to join us for a Working Bee on Friday 12 June from 3.30pm–5.00pm.
Our focus for the afternoon will be tidying and refreshing our school grounds, including weeding garden beds, spreading mulch and general clean-up work around the yard.
Many hands make light work, and even a short amount of time makes a big difference to our shared spaces. Students are welcome to attend with parent supervision.
If you are able to assist, please bring along gardening gloves and any handy garden tools you may have available.
We greatly appreciate the support of our school community and look forward to working together to keep BHNPS looking its best.

Today, Ainslie and I am attending the 2026 Victorian Government Principals Conference alongside school leaders from across the state. This annual conference brings together educational leaders to explore current research, evidence-informed practice and the future direction of education in Victoria.
The conference focus this year strongly aligns with the important work already underway at Box Hill North Primary School, including evidence-informed teaching practices, responsive teaching, literacy improvement, collaborative leadership and building strong, connected school communities.
I am particularly looking forward to sessions focused on:
Leading evidence-informed practice in Victorian schools
Strengthening shared approaches to teaching and learning through VTLM 2.0
Victoria’s approach to reading and phonics instruction
Sustaining excellence in leadership and collaboration
Building school pride, confidence and strong community narratives
Professional learning opportunities such as this are incredibly valuable, providing the opportunity to learn alongside leading educators and researchers while reflecting on how we continue improving outcomes for every student at BHNPS.
As a school, we remain committed to ensuring our teaching practices are grounded in strong evidence, high expectations and a deep understanding of student needs. Conferences such as this support our ongoing work to ensure every student is known, challenged and supported.
I look forward to sharing key learning with staff and continuing to build on the strong work already happening across our school community.
