With the cooler weather the winter growing in our Kitchen Garden is very slow. Our garden beds are full of Brussels sprouts, cabbages, snow peas, Bok Choy and onions.
We have been busy making Biodegradable paper pots and planting them up with bean seeds in readiness for late winter planting.
The warmer temperatures in our hothouse will make a good home for them.
Our Middle & Senior years have been working very hard to finish off projects in our gardens and a lot has been achieved this term. Well Done to our students.
Our Juniors have been enjoying learning about the parts of a plant and have made their own flowers.
A big thank you to our dedicated students who take care of our school animals during garden classes and lunchtime garden clubs.
Its been a great Term in our Kitchen Garden with lots of learnings and nature discoveries.
Next term we look forward to celebrating NAIDOC week and Water Week Poster Competition.
Have a wonderful break, rug up and enjoy time out in nature.
We are also looking for parent helpers to assist in kitchen or garden. Parents from prep to 4s are happy to contact us to assist.
