Dear St A’s Community,
As Term 2 draws to a close, we reflect on a vibrant and exciting few weeks at St Augustine's Primary School, filled with memorable experiences, special guests, and joyful reunions.
AFL Excitement: Visit from St Kilda Players!
This week, our students were thrilled to welcome players from the St Kilda Football Club, who visited for an afternoon of fun, inspiration, and sportsmanship. The players spoke about teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles. It was a wonderful opportunity for our budding athletes to connect with role models from the AFL.
Grade 6 Takes on the Theatre
Our Grade 6 students recently enjoyed a cultural excursion to see Jesus Christ Superstar. The powerful performance left a lasting impression and sparked thoughtful classroom discussions around the themes, music, and staging. A big thank you to our teachers and parent helpers who made this enriching experience possible!
Creative Dance Workshop with Dean
Last week, our students were treated to an energetic and inspiring dance workshop led by Dean, a visiting educator from the Dance curriculum team.
Dean brought a burst of creativity and enthusiasm to our school, guiding each class through a range of movement activities designed to explore rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. The students had a fantastic time learning how to tell stories through movement and work together as a team to create their own short routines.
It was wonderful to see students of all ages engaged, confident, and having fun while expressing themselves through dance. Dean’s approach encouraged every child to participate and take creative risks in a supportive environment.
A big thank you to Dean for sharing his passion and expertise with us—we can’t wait for more opportunities like this in the future!
Welcome Back, Beauden!
