Prep Learning Reflection

Term 2, Week 3 - 4

Prep have had a fantastic start to Term 2 and have jumped straight back into their learning with enthusiasm!

This week in Systemic Knowledge, we have been learning about living things! We have been exploring the features of living and non-living things and making comparisons between plants and animals. Students loved returning to the school garden to observe and discuss what they noticed in the environment around them.

We also began making our very own grassy heads! students had so much fun creating them. Thank you for you support with this during Twilight School. We are very excited to watch their grassy heads grow over the coming weeks.

In writing, we have had some very brave writers taking risks and giving things a go. Students have been listening carefully to sounds in words and choosing symbols and letters to match. It has also been wonderful to see students confidently sharing the pen during shared writing activities.

In Maths, we have been practising how to add two collections together to find the total. The students have been using hands-on materials and counting strategies to support their learning.

We are so proud of all the learning, curiosity, and enthusiasm our Prep students are showing each day!
