Hello prep families!

Literacy

This week in our literacy lessons, we met Eddy the elephant and linked his name to the vowel sound /e/ and the letter e. Eddy was too busy exercising on an empty Esky to speak with Milo. Do you have an Esky?

For Reading, we looked at the book ‘In Every House On Every Street’, we worked on putting the events of the story in order, and sharing our favourite room in our house.

In Writing, we began our first piece of writing using the writing process! We can't wait to show you our work on Open Night next Wednesday! 

Maths

We continued our investigation on addition in maths this week. We learnt about number lines and how they can help us when we are counting on from a number. 

Inquiry

This week we focused on our family homes! We ccompared the features of our houses and shared why we loved our rooms.

• The school day begins at 8:50 am. These 10 minutes in the morning set students up for a great day of learning.
