Prayer for All Saints Day

Dear God, thank you for the example of the Saints.

I desire to join in their company, worshipping you forever in Heaven.

Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ.

Please help me to conform myself to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did.

Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do, to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbours.

Amen.

Professional Development for Building Growth Cultures

Last week, Petrina, Mel, and Keena participated in an enriching Professional Development Day led by Simon Breakspear and Tom Sherrington. This session focused on fostering growth cultures in primary schools, equipping our team with valuable strategies to nurture positive, resilient learning environments. The team is excited to bring these insights into our classrooms, enhancing the culture of growth and curiosity at our school.

Girls' Cricket Team Triumphs in Regional Finals

A huge congratulations to our Girls’ Cricket Team for their remarkable performance in the regional finals, where they proudly secured the runner-up position! We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Prep Breakfast

The prep students recently had an exciting morning with their 'Preps in Pyjamas'. They arrived at school in their pyjamas and shared breakfast together with the pancakes proving to be very popular! Afterward, they practised important morning routines, like changing into their school clothes and brushing their teeth. This event helps the students build responsibility for their morning routine, setting them up for a successful day of learning. It was a fun way to build independence and start the day.

Prep excursion

Recently the prep students had an exciting day attending the Sarah and Pevan concert, where they sang along to educational songs about rhyming, syllables, emotions, social skills, and school routines. These songs are familiar to them from the classroom and help reinforce their learning in a fun way. After the concert, they enjoyed a treat of chips and potato cakes in the park and then walked around the lake. Following the concert, the students wrote letters and sent them to Sarah and Pevan telling them all their favourite things about their music. The students had a great day with a bit of music, learning, and a little adventure!

Rest and Rejuvenation Over the Long Weekend

The recent long weekend was a welcome break, allowing our students, families, and staff to recharge. With warm weather and quality time together, everyone is refreshed and ready for the final exciting weeks of 2024.

Grade 1/2 Movie & Tea Night Sleepover Success

The Grade 1/2 students had a wonderful Movie & Tea Night. The students filled up on spaghetti bolognese, garlic bread, fruit salad, popcorn, and ice cream. The night was completed with a sleepover at school for the Year 2 students. The night was a huge success, filled with laughter, fun, and bonding. A big thank you to our dedicated teachers and supportive parents who made this special event possible.

School Nurse Completes Health Visits

Our primary school nurse recently completed her scheduled health visits, ensuring that students received the care and attention they need for a healthy school experience. We’re grateful for her expertise and the positive impact of her work.

Senior Students Begin Swimming Program

Starting next week, our senior students will dive into the school’s swimming program. This program will strengthen students’ swimming skills and water safety awareness, combining physical activity with essential life skills.

Remembrance Day

On Monday, we will pause for a minute’s silence to commemorate Australians who have served and died during war and peacekeeping operations. Across Catholic schools and our offices, students and staff will reflect and give thanks to the men and women who have contributed to the safe, secure society that we enjoy in Australia today.

Over the years, Catholic students have played an active role in Remembrance Day services that bring our communities together in a sign of solidarity. Reflecting on Archbishop Comensoli’s recent letter, this year’s Remembrance Day services will act as a reminder to value and respect all people in the spirit of faith, hope and love.

Here’s to a strong finish to 2024, filled with learning, teamwork, and memorable experiences!
