Australian Cross Country Championships: 

Congratulations to Riley Y 5JK & Sadie E 4RB, who competed in the National Cross Country Championships in Ballarat over the weekend. Representing Victoria and running on a course that truly reflects what cross country is all about; mud pits, hill mounds and log jumping. Both students should be extremely proud of their efforts. Riley finished 66th and Sadie 29th in Australia, what an achievement!

District Athletics is on Thursday 3rd September (week 8). Students have been notified if they are in the squad and the event is on compass for families to consent and pay for. We have begun training for District in our Friday Sport and the Relay Squad will be training on Saturday down at Ringwood Athletics Track. 

Our school has been nominated to assist with Girls Long Jump at District and I still require 1 parent volunteer. Please email laura.yorke@education.vic.gov.au if you’re able to assist.

In Week 8, Basketball Victoria is coming out to run clinics for females with the aim of encouraging female participation in sport. 

The program is only run for students in years 3-6  and only for females. The clinic will be run during the students Friday Sport time.

This is a great opportunity for us as a school to continue to promote female participation in sport.
