Bullying No Way! National Week of Action: Small Acts, Big Impact.
17th - 21st August
Murrumbeena Primary School will be participating in Bullying No Way! National Week of Action, with this year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impact.
Throughout the week, students across the school will take part in age-appropriate discussions and activities exploring how small actions can make a big difference. Students will consider how simple acts of kindness, respect, inclusion and empathy can have a positive ripple effect on others and contribute to a safe, supportive and connected school community.
As part of these discussions, students will also revisit the definition of bullying, helping them to understand the difference between bullying, conflict and unkind behaviour, and reminding them of what they can do and who they can speak to if they experience or witness bullying.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by discussing the small actions we can all take to help others feel safe, valued and included.
Parents and carers can find our Bullying Prevention Policy, along with other wellbeing-related policies, on the Murrumbeena Primary School website. We also encourage families to revisit our previous newsletter article about bullying, which provides further information about how we define, prevent and respond to bullying at MPS.
Together, our small acts can make a big impact.
