LUNCHTIME CUTLERY

As per Department of Education policy, we are not allowed to provide students with single use plastic cutlery. Non-plastic cutlery items "borrowed" from the staffroom have gone missing, costing us money to replace for staff use.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH ANY CUTLERY NEEDED FOR THEIR LUNCH AND SNACK.

ONLINE LUNCH ORDERING

We have a number of children that are missing out on their lunch orders due to user error. Please make sure you select the correct date and move through each step to avoid your child missing out on their lunch order. You can check your receipt to confirm that you've completed the order correctly.

Lunch orders are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Please log in to Qkr! and follow the steps.

Lunch orders are all on line. Orders must be placed by 8:30 a.m.

** Please ensure that you are selecting the correct date for your orders. **

GRADE 4 CAMP

Grade 4 Students ventured off to Camp Oasis, Mt Evelyn last week and it was such a pleasure to see their smiling, eager faces throughout our 3 days away.

All students attempted every activity with enthusiasm and self-determination and were able to achieve individual success. Candle making seemed to be the absolute highlight with every student repeatedly asking when they will get their candles. (We are working on patience!) Hopefully they will take pride of place at home!

There were some very tired eyes upon our arrival back at school, this partly due to the excitement and also not getting much sleep during the first night. We were lucky enough that the rain held off and we finished camp with a 5-km hike to Silvan Dam through the forest areas. Such a gorgeous walk and great for the soul!

THE JAPANESE WORD OF THE FORTNIGHT

ねむいです(pronounced ‘nemui des’) which means ‘sleepy’ is the Japanese Word of the Fortnight for Week 3 and 4 of Term 4. At times, you can’t help feeling a bit sleepy and it’s a handy word to remember.

Thank you / ありがとうございます (pronounced ‘aligatoh gozaimas’) for your continuing support for our Japanese program.
