House Updates

Apollo
Hey APOLLO!
AND THAT’S A WRAP FOR TERM 3. Well done to everyone for making it through these last few weeks, full of stress and SACs and many more things on our plates.
Now, it’s time to look forward to the next 2 weeks of break and celebrate everything we did in Term 3.
One of the biggest events this term was HOUSE DRAMA! Let’s take a moment to congratulate everyone who worked super hard in preparations for the two outstanding performances, from the directors, producers, backstage, production crew, artists, and, of course, our performers. While the results could have been more favourable, we still kept our consistency and had a great time doing it all!
The last few weeks of term involved senior house debating where we tied third. Thank you to Adiba, Israth and Sybil for all your efforts and participation in house senior debating!
Getting through this term really took a lot of grit and resilience, so we want to thank each and every one of you for being the supportive community that’s embedded in Apollo’s name and reputation. Now, take that well deserved break, and for the Year 12’s, best of luck for your last weeks of school and exams.
We’ll see you all next term for one last ride.
GO APOLLO!

Blackwood
Hey Blackwood,
What an action-packed term it’s been! Let’s take a moment to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together.
First up, we absolutely smashed it in House Drama, finishing second overall! Even better, our performance earned us the most house points of all houses, at 60 just from drama, proving that Blackwood’s creativity and talent always stand out!
Next, a huge shout-out to everyone who put in the hard yards for Clean Up Cory. While the final results may not have reflected the effort we poured in, we know just how much work we did, and that speaks louder than any scoreboard
And to top it off, we brought home a win in Senior Debating! Blackwood’s sharp thinking, teamwork, and confident voices carried us to victory once again as usual.
This term has shown the strength, spirit, and determination that makes Blackwood so special. Let’s carry this energy into the rest of the year and keep showing everyone why Blackwood is the house to beat!
GO KNIGHTS!!!
Kororoit
Time FLIES because no WAY term 3 is ending.
And with Term 3 coming to a close, so does our time as your house’s proud leaders. We want to thank you for all your energy, support, hard work, and house spirit over the past year, and it has sincerely been a privilege to lead such a sick house. Before we move forwards, here are some last words from our current team:
Vices (Anika and Yash)
Hey Kororoit! We want to thank all the teachers and students for a great year filled with fun and success, here’s to another triumphant one next year. Goodbye for now, remember the true spirit of our house and stay humble!
Sports (Benyamin)
Swimming? First. Athletics? First. Humble? Always. What more can you ask for? Thank you to everyone who participated throughout the course of this year, your efforts have helped retain Kororoit’s dominance in the sports domain and allowed us to continue our undefeated domination within Athletics. Congratulations to Dhriti as Kororoit’s newly appointed 2026 Sport’s Captain, I’m sure our legacy is in safe hands.
Chorals (Sam)
Hey guys! Just wanted to say again how proud I am of the entire house, you all blew me away with the energy you brought on the day, and I hope you'll bring the same for Johanna next year. A special thank you to Leroy and Savita for leading this with me, none of this would have happened without you two, and a massive thanks again to all the amazing musicians and singers who killed it consistently, day in and day out! I am beyond proud of you all and the vision you helped bring to life.
Art (Claudia)This year we got to see a symphony of beautiful art and performance. Thank you to everyone who participated in House Art and House Dance, who showed the school not only the beauty in their talent, but the beauty in hard work! I am so thankful I was able to be Kororoit’s 2025 Arts Captain and help exhibit my house’s amazing artists.
Initiatives (Ashlee)
Amazing work on absolutely sweeping Clean Up Cory. We managed to pick up 7kg more rubbish than the other houses, easily taking first place!! A huge thank you to those of you who participated, as well as everyone who contributed to house debating and chess throughout the year. It has made my job very easy and I hope you keep taking initiative next year💪💪
Wellbeing (Ema)
Hi Kororoit! Your wellbeing Captain here. It’s been so nice seeing people get involved and play their part in the house. Let’s keep up the good work and do even better next year!! #humble
SRCs - Sri (Year 9), Khadijah (Year 10), Leroy (Year 11) &Bea (Year 12)
Hey you! We thank all of you guys for participating in the fun events that we’ve held. From the SENS events, to Social and Formal, to Staff Vs. Students and Alumni Week, and to numerous other events, we’ve seen the #humbleness and dedication of Kororoit permeate into your enthusiasm for silly events.
Finally, we have to acknowledge the elephant in the room (or should I say the dragon?) because last week KOROROIT SECURED FIRST PLACE IN HOUSE DRAMA!!! But let’s hear it from the man himself…
“We did it! I cannot emphasise enough how much of a team effort it was, huge thanks to everyone involved. After all the hard work from the Scripted, and Devised team we were able to get 1st in devised and win the overall cup! It’s been a dream of mine since House drama’s inception to be on stage with everyone holding the cup, so I’d like to wholeheartedly extend my gratitude to all the actors, stage crew, and leaders who sacrificed countless lunch times and after-schools in making that dream happen. Seriously I could not have asked for better people and I really enjoyed my time as drama captain.
Remember to have a break, have a Kit Kat.
This is Tousif signing off.”
Now finally, we want to say thank you to our fallen soldier Sir Geoffery Duckworth, who will be forever immortalised in the Duck Lisa. We welcomed his successor (someone who actually reads emails), Mr Le. Although you joined us mid year, your impact has been clear and immediate. We are so grateful for the passion (only matched by Ms Statopolus), energy, and dedication you’ve brought to the house and will continue to do so. Ultimately, we leave the house to our very (no doubt) capable Kororoit Leadership Team for 2026, and hope to see you all refreshed and ready to set the tone for next year in Term 4.
Finally, Year 12’s, just lock in mums. We’re so close :) !!
Thank you for having us and for the last time,
Humble in spirit, champions by nature,
Audrey & Sahnan 🐉❤️🔥
