Dear Families,

Term four is always such a fun-filled term. We have already had so many events, and more are to come. The true talent of our school is being showcased this Term.

Drama and performing arts have been showcased through the Main Program Prep to Year Two, performance of 'Under the Sea' and the spectacular grade 5 to Year 10 production of 'Twelfth Night', as well as the hilarious and heart-warming plays by Class Four and Class Six, which demonstrated heroism.

Next week, we will continue our celebrations with the Collingwood College Art and Craft show on Wednesday after school. Please reach out if you can support Angela and Sue in setting up the show on Tuesday during school hours.

This Term, we have hosted a few Kinder visits from our local Kindergartens as well as visited some Kinders to share what life is like as a Preppy. The Prep students shared a book about their experiences in Prep, including essential information, such as the fact that PE is the best subject and they have to wear hats.

Next week, we welcome our youngest and newest community members with our first Prep Transition on Tuesday. As you know, this is my favourite part of the year, welcoming new families into our wonderful community and building new relationships.

Term Four has also been the Term for camps. With the hope of nicer weather, we had Class Five and our Main program, 3/4s, already ventured out. Classes Three and Four will shortly follow with their camp.

A huge congratulations and thank you to Desley and our amazing Kitchen Garden volunteers for once again winning a Victorian School Garden Award. Desley, together with some students and volunteers, will accept the award later in November.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our many volunteers who support our programs every week and care for, as well as build, such amazing relationships with our students.

As you may have noticed, we have a new ‘Community Board’ displaying information about future events. A huge thank you to Madeline from the Community Engagement School Council Committee for organising it.

As the Term slowly finishes, we do have many more events in the Primary School.

Outside Hours School Care (OHSC) - Bookings Now Open for TheirCare

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are pleased to announce that the booking calendar for Collingwood College TheirCare is now open.

To manage your bookings, kindly log in to your parent portal and access your booking calendar located at the bottom of your dashboard. Please ensure that your account is complete for the calendar to appear.

Additionally, we would like to provide you with an update regarding your payments and childcare subsidy.

Typically, we charge your out-of-pocket fees at the end of each week (in arrears). However, as Collingwood College TheirCare is a new service with us, there is a transition period for Centrelink to process the subsidy transfer.

Centrelink is currently in the process of transferring the service, and until this transition is complete, we are unable to determine the exact amount of out-of-pocket charges. Therefore, we anticipate commencing charges once Centrelink has processed the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Once the transition is finalised, you will receive a system-generated email prompting you to log into your Centrelink account (via MyGov) to confirm your details for the service, ensuring that the subsidy is correctly applied to your account.

We wanted to inform you of this process in advance, should you be expecting a direct debit or enrolment notice.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Support Team during office hours at 1300 072 410.
