Junior Secondary School
Term 4 for our Junior Secondary students is a term full of opportunities to progress learning and engagement. This term culminates in a range of activities, with Australian Business Week Competition for Year 9 Academic Excellence students and the Big Day Out for Year 9 students on the 27th November.
As our senior students begin to finish their time at school, the spotlight now turns to our Year 9 students as the leaders of our Junior School. This is an exciting opportunity for them to step up, lead by example and demonstrate the qualities we value within our school community. Leadership isn’t just about wearing a badge or holding a formal position. It is shown through everyday actions - making positive choices, supporting others, showing respect and taking pride in our school.
As the oldest students in the Junior School, our Year 9s have an important role to play in setting the standard for the younger year levels for the remainder of the year. We encourage every Year 9 student to embrace this opportunity and recognise that they can make a positive difference and now is their time to step up, take responsibility and show our school community what great Year 9 leadership looks like.
For Year 7 students we look forward to celebrating those individuals specifically at our Term 4 OPTIMA Awards on the 5th November and for all students our major celebration is our end of year Junior Secondary Awards Ceremony Night on 26th November in the Hall celebrating both academic and special awards. All awardees and parent/guardians will be notified via email in Term 4.
Year 7 School Based Youth Health Nurses:
The Year 7 health sessions presented by the School Based Youth Health Nurses will be held in Week 5, 6 and 7 of Term 4.
Year 7 Immunisations
Year 7 Immunisations will be held in Term 4 on Thursday 29 October 2026.
The Gold Coast Public Health Immunisation Team will provide immunisations to all Year 7 students whose parents/carers have submitted online consent.

Year 9 Graduation Celebration – Big Day Out “Wet N Wild”
The Year 9 Big Day Out at Wet’n’Wild is on Friday Week 8 Term 4 (27th November).
Payments are due 13th November. $50 for entry and bus or $18 for bus only (for those with passes).
Please provide consent on QParents and pay as soon as you can on Humanitix
Year 9 Work Experience – Week 10
Work Experience for Year 9 is in Week 10 Term 4 (7th-11th December). Students please commence thinking about where you would like to go and start to make contact with those businesses. Paperwork for this will be distributed early in Term 4.
