S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G it out!!
Prime Minister's Spelling Bee!
Nearly 100,000 students in Years 3 to 8 have entered the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee this term! Students all across the country have tried their best in this spelling competition!
We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of the students from St Anthony's that took part! They were required to spell a range of words and also timed on their performance.
We would like to highlight the performance of a few of our students!
Year Three Spelling Champion: Justin!
Year Four Spelling Champion: Peter!
Year Five Spelling Champion: Paulina!
Year Six Spelling Champion: Esha!
Congratulations to Benjamin, Peter and Paulina who qualified for the state/territory finals and completed a second round of testing!
Finally we congratulate Paulina for being our St Anthony's spelling champion for 2026! We are so proud of all students who took part! Teachers know who we will be asking to proof read our reports next term!
Integrated Learning!
As we have discussed in the past, Integrated learning at St Anthony's is when we take our overarching topic for the term and incoprorate it through different subject areas. This term this topic is Dance, Drama and Music!
We understand that a large part of this learning was our amazing production, but learning in these areas also took place in our classroom. One example comes from our Year 3/4 Class!
Our student teacher Miss Davies planned and implemented a brilliant learning program on the text type of Information Reports. Students learnt about the techniques behind writing an effective report, including planning, paragraphing and research skills! To tie this to our Integrated topic, students completed their final Information Report on something related to Dance, Drama or Music.

We are so very proud of our students who have completed so much amazing work this term! Time for a well deserved rest, but we can't wait to see what's next!
