Year 3 and 4 students Cinquain Poems
Year 3 and 4 students have been learning about Cinquain poems. A Cinquain poem has a particular syllable pattern and contains describing words about a topic.
Here’s a few examples:
Healthy Harold
Our 5/6A students participated in the Healthy Harold sessions this week which focused on influences of decision making, strategies to manage peer pressure and skills to be safe.
Prep - Year 2 Swim Program
This week the P-2 students have started the learn to swim intensive program. Students have travelled via a bus to the local swimming center where they have practiced blowing bubbles, floating, and the beginning strokes of swimming! We have had so much fun, splashing, and playing in the water!
Prep PJ Day
Wednesday this week our preps had a snuggly PJ day and even got to make hot chocolates.
Fathers Day Stall
The Altona College Fundraising Committee is running the Father’s Day Stall on Tuesday August 29th. All primary classes will be allocated a 20-minute time slot to attend and buy something for their special person.
Prep - 6 Learning Showcase
Peace Writing Competition
An exciting opportunity from The Rotary Club of Wyndham Harbour, inviting our year 5 & 6 students to enter the Peace Writing Competition. The topic for this year is “How can Rotary's Four-Way Test be a basis for peace?” Entries are required to be submitted by the 1st of September, 2023, and are to be accompanied by a completed Application Form.
