Dream City Incursion
Last week our students explored a few different careers during their Dream City Incursion. They had the opportunity to explore three intriguing fields: Virtual Reality, Robotic Engineering, and Sports Science. Let's take a closer look at the exciting activities they engaged in:
Virtual Reality - A Window into the Future:
Imagine stepping into a world where anything is possible – that's precisely what our students experienced in the Virtual Reality session. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, they were transported to immersive virtual environments that stretched the boundaries of their imagination. From exploring ancient civilizations to conducting virtual scientific experiments, our students navigated through captivating experiences that highlighted the unique possibilities of VR.
Robotic Engineering - Unleashing Creativity through Coding:
In the Robotic Engineering workshop, our students donned their innovative hats and dived into the world of coding and computer science. Armed with the latest robot RVRs and tablets, they embarked on a coding journey using the SpheroEdu platform. Through this interactive experience, they discovered that coding isn't just about lines of text – it's a powerful tool that can bring Mathematics, Science, Music, and Art to life!
Students engaged in structured tasks that challenged their problem-solving skills and creativity. The real-world applications of their coding skills were evident as they watched their robots navigate mazes, create art, and even dance to the beats of their favourite songs.
Sports Science - Unveiling the Science behind Peak Performance:
For those with a passion for sports and an inquisitive mind, the Sports Science session was a perfect fit. Our students eagerly participated in a range of physical activities that tested their agility, strength, accuracy, and power. But this wasn't just about breaking a sweat – it was about understanding the role of technology in enhancing athletic performance. From analyzing jump heights to measuring reaction times, students uncovered the science behind sports excellence.
