Williamstown Campus  News

The first three weeks of Term 2 have flown by and it has been fantastic to see such a positive and busy start to the term.

Our annual Athletics Carnival was a great success, with students demonstrating outstanding participation, house spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many students challenging themselves, supporting their peers and proudly representing their house colours. Thank you to all staff, families and students who contributed to making the event such a positive experience.

Our Open Day was also highly successful, with many prospective families visiting the campus to see our college in action. It was fantastic to showcase the engaging learning opportunities occurring across classrooms and to highlight the strong sense of community that makes Williamstown Campus such a special place. Thank you to our students and staff for proudly representing the college.

Our student clubs and engagement opportunities continue to run exceptionally well. Last week, students involved in Climbing Club had the opportunity to head to Clip ‘n Climb for an exciting excursion, while tomorrow our AFL Club students will be visiting Whitten Oval for a football experience. These opportunities are designed to promote positive engagement, strengthen connections with school and act as a reward for students who consistently demonstrate our college values each day.

As we move further into the colder months, this is a timely reminder to ensure students are attending school in the correct winter uniform. Please check that jumpers, jackets and other uniform items still fit and are clearly named.

With colder weather also comes an increase in illness. While regular attendance is incredibly important for student learning and wellbeing, we ask that students who are unwell remain at home to recover. If your child is absent, please ensure an attendance note is entered on Compass to support our attendance processes.

Looking ahead, we are beginning to move into an important assessment period. I will provide further communication next week regarding the upcoming exam process and expectations.

Please note the following important upcoming dates:

  • Monday 8 June – King’s Birthday Public Holiday
  • Monday 8 June – Wednesday 11 June – Exam Period
  • Friday 12 June – Report Writing Day (Student-Free Day)

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to ensure a successful term for all students.
