Paisley Campus News

Intermediate & Senior Sport
Over the course of Term 1, we had more than 100 students from the campus participate in interschool sport. It’s fantastic to see such high levels of student participation, excellent achievements, and commendable behaviour — plenty of wins for us to be proud of.
Congratulations to the intermediate boys’ baseball team for making the Western Metro finals, and to the intermediate mixed and girls’ tennis teams, who won the Western Metro finals and will compete in the state finals this Friday.
I would also like to acknowledge the dedication of our staff, not only for supervising teams on the day but also for providing coaching and training sessions in the lead‑up to these interschool competitions.
Best of luck to all the students participating in Term 2 sport.
Japanese Language Assistant
I would like to welcome Minami Hosotani to the College. Minami is a Japanese Language assistant who will be working in our Japanese classes across the college.
IDAHOBIT bake-off
To celebrate IDAHOBIT Day (May 17th), there will be a bake‑off competition at Paisley on Friday the 15th at lunchtime.
Staff and students are invited to join in the fun. Exciting prizes up for grabs for all entries.
Melbourne Museum Excursion
On Friday, April 24, the Year 11 VM students visited the Melbourne Museum to take part in the Road to Zero experience, developed by the Transport Accident Commission in partnership with the museum. Facilitated by knowledgeable road safety educators, students explored 13 immersive experiences focused on important road safety themes and behaviours.
As part of the program, students worked in teams to create their own public health campaign videos using interactive touch-table technology. Their campaigns were highly impressive, demonstrating a strong understanding of how different strategies can be used in health campaigns to raise awareness and encourage safer road user behaviours.
