Year 8 Camp - Campaspe Downs

A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to our fearless camp leader  Mr. Warwick McDermott for organising an amazing Year 8 camp to Campaspe Downs last week. Co-ordinating a camp full of Year 8s, activities, cabins, luggage and bus seating requests deserves some kind of medal.

A massive thank you also to Mr. James O'Toole, Mr. Curtis Pratt, Ms. Laura Caruana and Ms. Tina Binding, who attended camp and gave up their time to support, encourage, supervise and survive on limited sleep and camp coffee. Your teamwork, fun, humour and dedication made the week such a success.

Most importantly, our Year 8 students were absolutely fantastic. From their manners and behaviour, to helping each other out, encouraging friends, having a go at activities, conquering fears and stepping outside their comfort zones — they were an absolute credit to themselves and made the school proud.

It was wonderful to see students sharing, supporting each other and simply being great kids to be around. We were all tired teachers by the end, but we were also chuffed.

They should be incredibly pleased with themselves. What a fantastic week filled with laughs, memories, challenges conquered and only a small amount of lost property.  Well done!
