Ride to School Morning
It was an exciting Ride to School morning! The P&F provided cut-up oranges and apples for all the children to enjoy. A big thank you to Bianca for coordinating this event, and to Lisa and Robyn for their help.
SPECIAL FOOD DAY
Our Hot Cross Bun Special Food Day was a great success, with children enjoying the opportunity to share a warm hot cross bun and flavoured milk with friends. The simple joy of sitting together and sharing made the day extra special.
We are grateful to share that funds raised from the day will support St Mary’s Thornbury P&F initiatives, helping to enrich learning experiences across the school.
A sincere thank you to Bakers Delight Northcote, along with our families and staff, for helping make this special day such a positive celebration of community and generosity
A big thank you to Terese for coordinating our first special food day for the year! The children enjoyed hot cross buns along with flavoured milk or juice.
Thank you to all the families who purchased take-home packs to support our fundraising efforts — we raised $119!

Harmony Day
On Monday 23 March, the P&F treated the children to an ice cream to celebrate cultural diversity, promote inclusiveness, and foster a sense of belonging for all.
A big thank you to Kathryn for coordinating the event, and to Delia, Denis and Andy for their help and support.
Easter Raffle
Thank you to everyone who donated items for our Easter raffle. The raffle will be drawn at assembly today.
We raised $685 which will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good
Friday Appeal. Thank you to Simone for coordinating this event.
Class WhatsApp Groups
All class WhatsApp groups have now been established. Thank you to our wonderful class reps for setting these up and keeping communication flowing. If you have not been added to your child’s class group and would like to be included, please contact the school office for authorisation.
CDF Classes
We kindly ask all families to check that their child/ren’s class details are correct in CDF. This can be done by clicking on Profile and then Student. Keeping this information updated helps ensure smooth organisation on special food days.
Staff Thank You
On Tuesday this week, the P&F provided coffees for our staff to enjoy. This week especially, the families of St Mary’s would like to express their appreciation for everything our staff do for our children and community. Thank you to Terese and Angela for coordinating this.
Uniform Stall
Next Wednesday from 3:30pm, in conjunction with the End of Term Market, we will be holding a second-hand uniform stall. With winter approaching, this is a great opportunity to purchase winter uniform items. If you are unable to attend, please email stmarypandf@gmail.com and we can organise your order for collection from the office.
Prep Family Get Together
Our recent Prep Family Catch-Up at Moondog in Preston was a fun-filled afternoon. The children had a wonderful time playing together and connecting with each other’s siblings, while parents enjoyed the opportunity to get to know one another better.
It was a relaxed and welcoming afternoon that truly reflected the spirit of our Prep community. Thank you to everyone who joined us — we loved sharing the afternoon with you!
