Pope Leo's Lenten Message
This Lent, Pope Leo XIV reminds us to grow closer to God through listening and fasting. Listening means paying attention to God’s word and to the needs of others, especially those who are hurting. Fasting helps us focus on what really matters, letting go of distractions and choosing kindness, including being careful with our words.
Pope Leo’s Prayer Intention: This month, he asks us to pray for peace in the world, that nations choose dialogue instead of conflict, and that leaders work to reduce dangerous weapons so everyone can live safely.
Families might like to join in this prayer at home, asking God to guide leaders, bring peace, and help people work together for the good of all.
Family Lenten Challenge: This week, try choosing one kind word each day—to a family member, friend, or someone in your community—to practice the Pope’s message of listening, care, and kindness.
PROJECT COMPASSION
We are delighted to share that, as a school, we have raised a wonderful total of $520 for Project Compassion this year. Thank you so much to all of our students who generously brought in donations, and to our families for your continued support—your kindness truly makes a difference.
A special congratulations to 3/4A, who raised an incredible $201! This is an outstanding effort, and we are so proud of the generosity and spirit shown by everyone involved.
As a reward, 3/4A will enjoy a free dress day and a free Zooper Dooper next Tuesday, 31st March—well done!
