Year 5/6

Year 5/6 Cluster News

Camp: Camp was an amazing success with students showing courage and resilience. A big thanks to our parent volunteers who made it all possible. Photos will be shared with students next week on Toddle or Teams. Please chat to your child about what they did. Some activities included bouldering, Challenge Hill, survival skills, laser skirmish, tube slide and the Labyrinth.

Uniform:

Please ensure your child is in correct school uniform, which includes correct formal shoes on Monday and Wednesday and no additional jewellery. Please refer to the Uniform Guidelines located on the school’s website. There have been students wearing incorrect uniform, including socks and shoes and it would be appreciated if these could be rectified.  (https://www.goldengrove.sa.edu.au/school-life/uniform/

In Reader’s Workshop, students will be using their research skills to find information and evidence to support their persuasive writing in Writer’s Workshop.

Mathematics:

In Week 11, we will use the data from the election to draw and interpret a range of graphs.

Inquiry: Students will continue to look at the processes of government and how that influences our behaviour and the way we live.
