Year 1/2 Cluster News
Junior Choir performance
The Junior Choir will be performing at Closing Chapel on Friday 9th April. Choir members are students from Years 1-3 who have regularly attended rehearsals.
Volunteers
The Year 2 Camp is Tuesday 22nd – Wednesday 23rd September. Only a few parents are needed to attend in addition to staff.
The Year 1 Sleepover is Thursday 24th – Friday 25th September. We will need a higher number of parents to attend due to the number of Year 1 students this year. Parents assist students to set up mattresses, prepare food and supervise children. More information about this will be sent next term.
If you are interested in volunteering, you must have the following checks up to date. Please do not volunteer unless you have these already. Contact the office if you have any questions.

Home Inquiry
Each child has received a copy of a traditional nursery rhyme in their Take Home Folder. Can they circle the rhyming words and create a picture of this rhyme. It could be a drawing, made out lego, blocks, boxes, playdough – any way you choose. Please take a photo and email it to us to print at school. Your child can then share it with the class.
Reading: every night for 10-15 minutes. At home, please listen to your child read the decodable books and ask the ‘check for understanding’ questions at the back. Initial the reading sheet and remind your child to let the teacher know they have read the book.
The ‘Interest books' with coloured round stickers on the front may need to be read together or some children can read all of the text to you.
