Registration is now CLOSED! No late entries will be accepted.

In the lead-up to the carnival, it can be helpful to remind your child of the key techniques covered during the week, especially if they’re entering competitive races.
To support fairness and help our students feel prepared, here are the core finish touch rules for each stroke:
Backstroke: Swimmers must finish on their back.
⚖️ Fairness, Resilience and Respect in Sport
All sports have rules to ensure fairness for every participant. While every parent naturally wants to see their child succeed, it’s important that we all respect the officials’ and umpires’ decisions on the day. In sport, everyone will experience disappointment at times, even elite athletes. What matters most is how we respond.
Our students are still developing their resilience, confidence, and understanding of fairness. There are valuable lessons to be learned from both victories and setbacks, and we truly appreciate your support in modelling calm acceptance and helping your child learn from the officials’ judgments and from the experience as a whole.
We look forward to a fun, confident, and supportive Swimming Carnival where every child has the chance to participate, get house points, challenge themselves, and be part of the Fatima sporting spirit.
Go teams! 💙💛❤️💚
Pathway Sports are sporting trials that are held to enable a student to represent and participate at various levels. The 2026 Representative Pathway School Trials will commence in Term 4, 2025, as the official Conference 3 trials will take place in Term 1 Week 3, 2026. Trials will be held for the following sports:
Only students currently in YEAR 4 and 5 are eligible.
Each school can only nominate a limited number of students for each trial. The process for selection is:
The student is to demonstrate a high level of skill development and talent in their chosen sport
The student is to have experience playing in regular competition outside of school
In the event of having more students than the allocated number to attend the trial, a school trial may be held to determine nominees.
Please note only one school trial will be held.
Please fill in the following form if you wish to nominate your child. Further information will be provided closer to the trial dates.
