R U OK? Day

On Thursday the 10th of September we acknowledged R U OK Day. Our students warmly welcomed Headspace Melton and enthusiastically engaged in Karaoke and chalk drawing!

We want to thank everyone who chooses to make a difference by showing up for the people in their lives who might be struggling. Whether you've asked someone how they're really going, listened with an open mind and without judgment, encouraged them to access support or checked in to see how they're going, your connection, conversations and actions matter.

A special thank you to Afu, Alice, Justine, Kriss, Daily Org team, Jess White, Maintenance team and the entire Allied Health team for all their support and making the day extra special.

Drumbeat

Our students recently completed the 10-week DRUMBEAT Program, a social and emotional learning program that uses African djembe drumming to explore relationships, emotions, identity, teamwork, communication, and connection.

Throughout the program, students demonstrated excellent attendance, participation, and commitment, working together to build confidence, strengthen relationships and develop their teamwork and communication skills.

To celebrate their final session, students worked collaboratively to put together and deliver their own DRUMBEAT performance, showcasing the rhythms and skills they developed throughout the program.

It was fantastic to see their confidence, teamwork, and sense of connection. A wonderful achievement and a great way to celebrate the students’ commitment and growth across the 10 weeks!
