Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

As we draw closer to the end of term, it’s a great time to reflect on some of the wonderful events and achievements we’ve celebrated together this month.

Our Colour Run was an absolute highlight! The excitement was contagious as students, staff and families came together to participate in this fun-filled event. It was a fantastic day, full of laughter, energy and a true sense of community. We also had the pleasure of hosting our Meet and Mingle event following the Colour Run, which allowed us to connect with parents in a more informal and friendly setting. It was heartwarming to see so many of you come along to meet staff and other families. We deeply value these opportunities to build strong partnerships with our school community and we are grateful to all who attended.

Another key highlight of the term was the Student Goal Conferences, which were a great success. These conferences provided a valuable opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning, set personal goals and share their next steps with their families. As this is the second year of prioritising student goal setting for the semester, we are proud to see the growth in our students’ ability to reflect on their learning and set meaningful goals. This aligns with our focus on building learner agency, encouraging students to take responsibility for their education and develop important life skills.

On a broader note, we are pleased to inform you that our Annual Report and Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) have been ratified by the School Council. These documents provide a comprehensive overview of our school’s achievements, goals and strategic direction. Once they have undergone the Department of Education’s approval process, they will be available on our website for all to access.

As we approach the final week of term, we are excited for the Easter Bonnet Parade next week. This is always a fun and vibrant event and we encourage all students to get creative with their bonnets. Please check Compass and Facebook for information about the Easter Raffle, Hot Cross Buns order form and Easter Bonnet Parade. It’s a wonderful way to end our term on a high note!

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to celebrating more successes with you as we move into the next term.

Warm regards,

Stephania Johnson-Turner
