Disability Inclusion at Concord School

This photo was taken last week during a Disability Inclusion Profile meeting at our Lower Primary Campus. Many of our students have attended their Disability Inclusion Profile meeting, providing their thoughts and feelings about school. Some of our students communicate this through speech, and some of our students are supported to communicate with their preferred Augmentative and Alternate Communication. Some of our students bring along their favourite toy, book or activity from school to communicate something they enjoy about school. Having our young people at Disability Inclusion meetings is the highlight of the meetings.

Please click here to go to the Department of Education website and watch a short video about Disability Inclusion.

Easy English resources about both the Disability Inclusion Profile (PDF) and the profile meeting itself (PDF) are available.

If you have any questions about Disability Inclusion, please feel free to phone the school at the Bundoora campus Monday-Friday and ask to speak to Rachael Macmillan, (Disability Inclusion Leader) or email at Rachael.Macmillan@education.vic.gov.au. Stacey Bilchouris is our Disability Inclusion Learning Specialist, and can be contacted by phone at the Bundoora Campus on Tuesdays and Fridays, or via email at Stacey.Bilchouris@education.vic.gov.au

If your child requires a Disability Inclusion Profile meeting, you will be contacted by Stacey or myself, Rachael Macmillan

The diagram below shows the six domains of the Disability Inclusion Profile and the levels of adjustments that are applied.
