Moonraker Boat Snorkel
On Thursday the 27th of March, the Environment Captains went on an excursion to Sorrento where we participated in the Moonraker i Sea i Care Program to hopefully swim with dolphins.
On the day we went on a 1 hour trip with Mrs. Beagley in her car.
This exciting opportunity has been developed by the Dolphin Research Institute, to provide young leaders with real and relevant environmental experiences, that enrich the ambassadors and their school community.
The program is designed for ambassadors to participate in one workshop per term and bring their learning back to school, to educate the community to be more sustainable in its daily life.
The employees were amazing with getting us the right size wetsuit and helping us with our flippers.
Sadly, we didn’t get to see any dolphins in the water but luckily we still saw lots of fish and numerous seals. There was 1 really big seal on the rocks.
It was amazing to be able to observe and be side by side with the fish. I
t was an amazing experience snorkelling with the fish and was a first for most of us!
It was a great day and thank you to Mrs. Beagley for organising!
