Inter School Sport Recap

Summer Sport

Another successful summer of Level 5 & 6 Interschool Sport has come to an end. We had over 110 students participate this year which is fantastic. Each student participated in weekly organised sports against students from other schools, often playing sports which were not familiar to them.

We had some great highlights throughout the Term with many students and teams having great success.

Huge congratulations to the Girls Cricket Team which finished second in their competition and will go on to compete at the Division competition in Term 4.

District Tennis Competition

We had 2 students represent Jells Park in the District Tennis Competition a couple of weeks ago. Each school selects 2 or 3 students to compete and the students play a round robin style to determine a winner and runner up. Huge congratulations to Aaradhya S (Level 6) who finished 3rd and Teddy W (Level 5) who finished 6th in the days competition.

Regional Swimming

Earlier in the Term, A group of Jells Park Students had made it through to compete at the Regional Swimming Competition.

Congratulations to the following students and their amazing efforts

Mixed Medley Team (Leon K, Alex X, Yuna K, Ashton R) Finishing 12th

Leon K - 50m Butterfly Finishing 8th

Under 11 Mixed Freestyle Relay Team (Alex X, Eric X, Saige A, Ivy B) Finishing 9th

Under 12 Mixed Freestyle Relay Team (Yuna K, Ashton R, Leon K, Hudson A) Finishing 12th

House Cross Country

On Thursday 27 March, Level 3-6 headed down to Jells Park for our annual senior House Cross Country. Under 11 and Under 12 students completed a 3km track through the park whilst the Grade 3 and Under 10 students completed a 2km track. The top 9 in each category will be invited to attend District Cross Country next term. It was a fantastic day with lots of personal goals achieved and some outstanding times. Thank you to all the parent helpers who assisted with setting up and marshalling and for all the teachers with their jobs they completed on the day. Overall it was a tight contest but Bradman house came out on top as our 2025 House Cross Country Champions followed by Fraser, Freeman and Perkins.

The following is the list of top 3 finishers for each category. The top 10 results are up on the sports noticeboards and students will be contacted about District next term.
