Connie Bandiera, Education in Faith Leader
Catholic Education Week 2025
Last Friday, a group of Year Six leaders travelled into East Melbourne to attend Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral as part of Catholic Education Week and to celebrate our Melbourne patron saint, St Patrick. The mass was well attended with most schools in the Melbourne Archdiocese represented.
Our students had a wonderful day with many other primary and secondary schools in our Diocese with a concert in the park a highlight. Our students represented our school proudly and appreciated the experience to learn more about our Catholic identity.
As part of the celebrations, we were very fortunate to see the unveiling of a new ICON of St Patrick, who became the Patron Saint of Melbourne because of the many Irish settlers here.
Thank you to Tammy F, Jack’s mum and Mrs Galea for assisting us with this excursion and also to Anthony M, Fabian’s dad who met us there and joined us for the mass.
