I can hardly believe this is our final newsletter for 2025. Reflecting on the outstanding teaching and learning, the successful community events and the strong systems and structures we have put in place, I feel incredibly proud of all that we have achieved together.

House Point Reward – Extra Play

Mauboy Warreenys (Yellow House) won the extra play for the term. They enjoyed an extra half an hour of play with many fun activities planned. I would like to thank Tatjana from Team Kids who organised and ran an activity and to Mrs Pappas who organised all the other activities.

Transition

On Tuesday, 9th December, all students had the opportunity to meet their 2026 class teacher and classmates. Considerable thought and care go into forming classes and we are confident we have created well-balanced groups. Student behaviour, friendships and academic performance are carefully considered to ensure classes are evenly structured for the year ahead.

Year 6 Graduation

On Wednesday 17th December, we celebrated our Year 6 students at their Graduation Ceremony. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on their years at CSPS and share anecdotes about their favourite moments. We took this opportunity to congratulate all our Year 6 students and wished them every success as they commence the next exciting chapter of their lives.

Prep Celebration Morning

On Thursday 18th December we held our Prep Celebration Morning to acknowledge and mark the important milestone – the end of the first year of schooling (Prep). It was wonderful to see so many of our families there and to see how proud our students were when they received their certificates. Well done to our wonderful Prep Team and to Miss Walsh for her work in preparing the students for the special performance.

Reports

Reports are available on Compass for families who have not yet accessed them. Parents of Year 6 students and families leaving the school are reminded to download their child’s report, as access will end this evening when students are rolled over for the new school year. This applies even if another child remains at the school or the next school uses Compass.

School Council, Parents Association and Class Representatives

I would like to sincerely acknowledge and thank our parent community, School Council members, the Parents’ Association, Class Representatives and Level Leads and all those who generously volunteered their time for fundraisers, excursions and incursions. Our achievements would not have been possible without your continued support.
