Important Information

Our Year 9 students have been participating in a program called Changemaker, and they have been looking at social issues within their communities. Throughout this program they focussed on various social issues ranging from homelessness, racism, cyber bullying, poverty and discrimination.

They visited various organisations to learn how they contribute back to those around them. One place that stood out to the students was Feed Me Torquay, and they decided to organise and run a silent auction to raise money for this not-for-profit charity.

For more information on feed me click on this link https://www.feedme.org.au/about

Bidding begins on Monday the 8th of September and runs for 10 days. Bids close at the end of the 17th of September, and winning bidders will be notified on Friday the 19th of September. Invoices will be sent out, and once payments have been made the items will be available for pick up from the Armstrong Creek School office once students return for the holidays.

Thank you so much for your support, we are excited to see how much we can raise!!

Yes Hat Yes Play - Term 4 and Term 1

It’s that time of year again!  Term 4 and Term 1… SunSmart expectations, in particular HATS!

SunSmart expectations for students and staff:

At ACS the minimum expectation for every student and staff member is that when they are outside, they must wear a sun protective hat (broad brimmed / bucket / legionnaire) – see attachment. This includes all activities that are conducted outside – recess break, lunch break, PE classes and any other classes that are conducted outside.

Students without hats will be directed to allocated areas in the shade or to indoor clubs if during recess or lunch break.

Please label your child\ren's hat clearly with their name.
