Massive shoutout to Grace P (6SM), who has been selected as an emergency for the Team Vic 12 Years & Under Girls Basketball squad!
Grace and the Victorian squad have just begun their training program in preparation for the School Sport Australia Championships, which will be held in Newcastle from Sunday 25th October to Friday 30th October 2026.
Grace's incredible achievement came after progressing through a highly competitive multi-stage trial process. This success is a testament not only to Grace's immense talent but also to her unwavering dedication, determination, and commitment to the sport.
We are so proud of you, Grace! This selection is a wonderful recognition of your talent, perseverance, and hard work, and will provide you with invaluable experiences. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement, and we wish you and the Team Vic squad all the very best for the national championships!
NILLUMBIK DIVISION GIRLS AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL CARNIVAL
Congratulations to the Greenhills Girls Australian Football team, who finished third overall at last Thursday’s Nillumbik Division Carnival held at Montmorency Park.
This was the second level of competition after successfully progressing through the district carnival, and the team should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Not only did they demonstrate skill, teamwork, and determination on the field, but they also represented Greenhills with pride, consistently displaying our G.R.E.A.T values throughout the day.
Well done, girls! We are incredibly proud of your achievement and the way you represented our school.
COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to Rhyda H (3/4H), who, in his first game back after injury, was awarded the Opposition Medal following an outstanding performance. Rhyda kicked three goals while playing an all-round brilliant game. What an incredible comeback!
Congratulations also to Tenace H (3/4C), who received the Sports Award in recognition of his outstanding effort, teamwork, and positive attitude on the field. A fantastic achievement!
Well done, boys! Keep kicking goals on and off the field!
Congratulations to Olivia N (3/4H), who was awarded the Opposition Medal in her Under 10 girls' football match against Montmorency. This award is a wonderful recognition of her outstanding performance and effort on the field.

LUNCH CLUBS
At Greenhills, supporting student wellbeing is a priority. To help provide a range of positive lunchtime options, our Grade 5/6 student leaders run a variety of lunchtime clubs for younger students. These clubs offer an alternative to playing in the yard and are a great way for students to connect with others, explore interests and enjoy a quieter lunchtime activity.
All clubs run during the first half of lunchtime and are fully supervised by a staff member on yard duty.
If your child sometimes finds lunchtime overwhelming, you may wish to encourage them to attend a club that matches their interests.

In addition, the portable building opposite the Italian Room is open every day during the second half of lunch as a Quiet Space. Students are welcome to use this area to read, draw, colour or simply enjoy a calm environment if they are finding the yard overwhelming. The Quiet Space is also supervised by a staff member on yard duty. We encourage students to make use of these opportunities to help them feel safe, supported and connected during lunchtime.

Greenhills Primary School is proud to present 'Lost In The Movies', a whole school musical production. When four friends sneak into an abandoned cinema, a magical projector sweeps them through wacky, wild, and musical movie worlds, where they must navigate chaos and adventures to find each other, and a way home!

Please note that for the first week, tickets are limited to 2 per household to allow all families to make a purchase. This is to ensure all families have access to one of the performances. From the 5th August, households will be able to make further purchases of any tickets that are still available.

We are committed to keeping our prices as low as possible. However, rising cost-of-living expenses have affected our operating costs, and this is reflected in our new pricing.
There will be a price increase on the following items starting Term 3.
HELPERS NEEDED
If you have a spare hour on a Wed, Thurs or Fri between 1pm and 2pm, come along and help in the canteen. There is no food preparation involved, it's very simple and the kids love seeing parents there!
You need to have completed the Volunteer Induction, and sign up through CareBookings - www.carebookings.com.au - access code is JGU9L.
Helpers get a canteen voucher for their kids to use for their next lunch order!
