Vocal Ensemble

Our vocal ensemble had the wonderful experience during the holidays of performing at the Devonport Jazz Festival’s Gospel Song night where they did brilliantly. The technical skill and musicianship they have developed really shone through in their performance.

The group also had a very full morning on Friday, performing at assembly for the opening of the buildings and later entertaining guests as they walked through the 9/10 Centre. Many students have shown great commitment by balancing these performances alongside their responsibilities with the musical.

A huge thank you to all parents who brought their child to the Gospel Song night and thank you to the students for their hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication.

Year 7/8 Painting Has Begun!

Our Year 7/8 Painting students have made a fantastic start to the term, exploring colour, pattern and creative mark-making through abstract artworks. Over the coming weeks, students will continue developing their artistic skills as they learn a range of watercolour techniques before progressing to acrylic painting. Throughout the course, they will experiment with colour mixing, brush control, composition and different painting styles while building confidence in expressing their own creative ideas. We look forward to seeing their skills and creativity continue to grow this term.
