Shout Out!

TRIVIA NIGHT!

Wow! What a fun night we had at the Brunswick Town Hall on Saturday night, with staff, parents and carers getting together in fabulous costumes to battle it out with trivia, dancing and lots of fun. Special shout out to our parents’ band “Children of Sprout” who got everyone on their feet - so much talent in our midst: Naomi Takita, Vanessa Hughes, Kerri Besley, Joh Fairley, Devor Skakic, Christopher ‘Friday Mac ’n Cheese’  Grainger and Dave Bosner

The back to the 90s theme brought out some amazing costumes, with the best dressed table award going to the Simpsons!

Some amazing other efforts including Tetris table, a dead Laura Palmer, many many Waynes and Garths, Dolly the Sheep(s) and November Rain.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help out before, during and after the event, and to all the people who stayed behind to pack up and help us to get out smoothly and quickly.

Thanks to Malcolm and Denis for coordinating the sound, Jack for helping with sound and giving us a great DJ set, and Planet Janet Trivia for the trivia. Thanks to Carl from Manfred Wine at soon-to-be-opened wine bar and bottle shop on sydney road for providing the drinks, to Deano at Good Brew Company for the Kombucha and Tore from Sopra for the blood orange seltzer.

Thank you to the many people and businesses who gave services, items and vouchers for the silent auction:

Nella Ceramics, Armature Pilates, Healthy Fresh Food Boxes, Brunswick Picture House, Heather McDonald Sourdough, Evolve, Lobbs, Madonna Electric, Pet Circle, Fitzy’s Gym, Fluit Studio, Tribute Boxing, Cherry Bomb Hair Salon, Cactus Cafe, Vehicle Charging Solutions Australia, Sacred Gems, Roark, Wood Melbourne, Miinot Gelato, Emil’s Cafe, Babylon Flowers, Shop 225, Aristocracy, Cornelius Cheesemongers. Please support these local businesses who have supported our school!

Finally, a big thanks to the many hours of work put in by the organising committee from CET to create this community building event: Jenny Addy, Linda Farkas, Linda Reiling, Sarah Napier, Tess Hallinan, Vanessa Hughes, Brigid Morgan and Anne Treasure.
