Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Unit Art Exhibit

Celebrating Our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Artists – “We Belong”

We are excited to share that several students from our school will have their artwork featured in Deaf Children Australia’s (DCA) Annual Art Exhibition this October!

Deaf Children Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that champions the growth and social inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing children and young people across Australia. Through programs, events and resources, DCA supports children and their families to build confidence, connections and a stronger sense of belonging within the community.

Each year, DCA holds an Annual Art Competition and Exhibition, showcasing artworks created by deaf and hard-of-hearing children and young people from across Australia.

The 2026 theme, “We Belong,” invited young artists to explore what belonging means to them and express their ideas through their chosen artform.

The exhibition brings together the creativity, stories and perspectives of young artists from across Australia and provides a wonderful opportunity for their voices and experiences to be celebrated.

We are particularly proud that several of our students will have their artwork on display as part of this year's exhibition. This is a fantastic achievement and an opportunity for our wider school community to celebrate their creativity and recognise the important contribution our deaf and hard-of-hearing students make to our school.
