Year 12 Recharge Day
On Tuesday June 10th, our year 12 students participated in recharge day following their trial English & English Language exams. Students participated in a shared lunch with staff before spending the afternoon at Holey Moley in Point Cook. Recharge day is an SRC initiative that has run for the past few years and promotes a sense of connectedness amongst the year 12 cohort. Thank you to all students and staff for their support of this event.
Year 10 & 11 Chemistry Outreach Program
On Tuesday 10th June Bayside students attended a chemistry outreach program at Melbourne University. The Year 10 students performed colorimetry and UV spectrometry to create a set of calibration standards. They then analysed river samples for concentrations of copper, iron, nitrate and phosphate.
The Year 11 students performed organic analysis using Mass, Infrared and NMR spectroscopy. Students tested six unknown liquids and analysed the spectra created by each liquid to identify them.
GAT
The General Achievement Test (GAT) will be held on Tuesday June 17th. This is compulsory for all students completing units 3&4 VCE & VCE-VM.

- Section B (1:15am – 3pm)
VCE Information Evening
Year 10 parents are invited to attend our VCE information evening on Wednesday July 2nd. This event will be held at 6pm – 7pm in the Paisley library.
Work Experience
Year 10 work experience will be occurring during Term 3, week 2 (July 28th – August 1st). Please ensure that all required paperwork is completed and submitted as soon as possible. Please contact our pathways team if you have any questions (03) 9392 8500
