Year 5/6 Excursion: Arts Centre Melbourne & ACMI

Last Friday, our Year 5/6 students headed into the city for a day of creativity and discovery at the Arts Centre Melbourne and ACMI. 

Students split into two groups for hands-on workshops: one group got behind the beats in Block Rockin' Beats, an AMV Learn music-making session, while the other tried their hand at podcasting, learning the basics of scripting, recording, and storytelling with audio.

After a well-earned lunch, students explored ACMI, immersing themselves in exhibits celebrating film, games, and digital media.

It was a wonderful day of learning beyond the classroom, giving our students a taste of the creative industries and the chance to build skills in music, media, and communication. A big thank you to the staff who accompanied the students and helped make the day such a success!
